Does Picture A Healthier World fulfill its own orders?
No, we work with a third-party fulfillment company called Zenfolio to offer you a range of superior quality print and digital products.
What products do you sell?
What does royalty-free mean? "Royalty-free" is a license that provides for the unlimited use of an image in any media defined in the licensing terms, as opposed to "rights-managed," which refers to an image that needs a specific license stating the material surrounding the image and the number of times the image can be used. PAHW offers both royalty-free (unlimited use) licenses as well as rights-managed (one-time use) licenses. The license available for each image depends on the preference of the artist.
Do you charge sales tax? All orders shipped to New York state will be charged a 7.375% sales tax. Also, all orders shipped to California will be charged a 7.50% sales tax because our fulfillment partner is located in California. Shipping and handling fees may be subject to sales tax (as required by state laws). Digital license orders are not subject to sales tax.
How much money from my purchase will go to charity? 100% of net profits from sales is donated directly to FXB, so every penny donated will be put to good use. Just 10 cents for every $1 of the purchase price is directed towards PAHW services and administration, which includes website management, customer relations, and marketing. The remaining 90 cents is directed to donations, after covering materials and other fees charged by our fulfillment partner, state and federal taxes, and remaining expenses (ex. website hosting and Amazon gift cards for contributors).
Will the profits from my purchase be directed to projects in the country where the image was taken? The answer to this question depends on whether or not FXB has programs in the country where the purchased image was taken. If it does, then PAHW will request that 100% of net profits from your purchase ($5 from the purchase price) will be directed towards FXB's projects in that country. If you purchase an image from a county in which FXB does not operate, the profits will be directed to the organization's general fund, which directs resources to where they are most needed at a given time.
What type of paper do you print on?
Do you offer gift wrapping? No, we do not offer gift wrapping at this time.
I live outside of the United States. Can I still order prints? Unfortunately, our fulfillment partner only ships prints and greeting cards to the United States and Canada. If you live outside of this region, you may choose to purchase a digital file from Picture A Healthier World so that you can print and frame the image at your local printer. Other items of merchandise, including t-shirts, coasters, and tote bags, can be shipped to any country in the world.

The sale price of each product on the website was determined by equating 100% of net profits from each individual sale with $5. This means that $5 (approximately) will be donated from the sale price of all items on the website, with the exception of one-time digital use licenses.

Note: The amount donated per individual image sale differs slightly per item per quarter because Picture A Healthier World's fixed costs and taxes may vary, so please note that these numbers may be adjusted after the end of each year. After taxes are paid, any remaining dollars will be added to the following year's donations. The estimated dollar amount donated per purchase is listed in the chart below.

What type of paper do you print on?
All of our printed products (prints, standout displays, and greeting cards) are available in three papers: color, metallic, and black & white. Color corrections are optional. For each print item in the shopping cart you also have the option of color conversion, so that you can convert color photos to black & white or sepia tone. There is no additional fee for this service.
Color: Kodak Professional Portra Endura E-Surface paper is the most popular premium paper. Accurate color, realistic saturation, excellent neutral flesh tone reproduction, and brighter colors are just a few of the attributes describing this paper. You will see improved color saturation and excellent skin-tone reproduction as well as brighter blues, cyan, purples, and reds. The standard longevity is 100 years in home display and 200 years in dark storage.*
Metallic: Kodak Professional Endura Metallic paper offers a unique pearlescent surface that will make your images really pop. Flesh tones look natural, details are crisp and colors are beautifully saturated. Endura Metallic paper offers natural looking flesh tones, sharp details and beautifully saturated colors. Plus, it is resistant to tearing and curling without any additional lamination. This paper uses a patented combination of film and laminate layers resulting in striking three-dimensional images on an ultra-bright background. You really have to see this paper to appreciate it.*
Black and White: The Ilford True Digital Black and White panchromatic, resin-coated paper is specifically designed for making continuous-tone black & white prints directly from digital images in digital exposing systems. This paper provides excellent tone reproduction from digital camera files. Because the emulsion is silver-based rather than dye-based, the imaging performance and characteristics of this paper are the same as traditional black & white continuous-tone papers. This translates into neutral tonal characteristics offering good sharpness, display, and archival quality. One added benefit is that this resin paper is specially coated on the back to accept ink, making it a good surface for crop lines or writing notes.*

I live outside of the United States. Can I still order prints? Unfortunately, our fulfillment partner only ships prints and greeting cards to the United States and Canada. If you live outside of this region, you may choose to purchase a digital file from Picture A Healthier World so that you can print and frame the image at your local printer. Other items of merchandise, including t-shirts, coasters, and tote bags, can be shipped to any country in the world.
What is the cost of shipping?

- USPS Priority Mail is $6.45 (delivered in 3-4 business days)
- FedEx Next Business Day shipping is $11.25
- For shipments to Canada:
- FedEx Priority International shipping is $16.45 (delivered in 1-2 business days)
Please note that shipping costs may vary, however, because our fulfillment partner uses several vendors who may ship items from one order separately. Most orders ship within 24 hours. Duty taxes may apply to some shipments.
Who should I contact if I am dissatisfied with my order?
Every print includes a 100% Quality Satisfaction Guarantee. If you are dissatisfied with the quality of a print, please contact our fulfillment partner within 30 days of receiving the product, and we will replace the order free of charge.
If you are dissatisfied with the quality of a digital download, please email Picture A Healthier World and we will respond within 24 hours.
How many donation dollars does my image generate for each sale?
Because Picture A Healthier World's fixed costs and taxes may vary each year, the amount donated per sale may differ slightly each year (although 100% of net profits will always be donated). Because of this, we can only generate an estimated amount donated from the print and digital sales of individual images, listed below each image and in the chart above (see the FAQs for Consumers section). Note that these amounts may be adjusted after the end of each calendar year. The total raised from sales of each individual image is updated daily below each photo.
Can I ask PAHW to sell my photo at a price that I set? Yes, you may. If artists would like to set their digital or printed product prices higher than the standard list prices on the site, please indicate your preferred list prices in the "additional notes/specifications" box on the donation form. You may also indicate here if you would like your image to be sold in certain sizes only (ex. 8x10), and any other specifications you wish to include. We will gladly honor your requests, and ensure that 100% of profits from sales of your photographs will be donated to FXB.
Can I submit my image to PAHW, but also sell it in my own gallery or elsewhere? Absolutely. All images in our Global Gallery are sold on a non-exclusive basis. The artist retains the copyright to the image, and only gives PAHW a non-exclusive license to sell prints or sub-license the image. Read more in our Submission License Agreement.
Am I financially rewarded for donating an image?
What should I do if I decide I no longer want my image on the PAHW website? In our Submission License Agreement, we specify that we will guarantee removal of any images from our website within seven (7) business days of receiving the request. We will do our best, however, to remove the image within 24 hours of the request.
Can I be sure that my image is protected from website visitors who may try use my image without purchasing a license?
Can I provide my own prints? No, at this time all printing is managed by our professional fulfillment partner, Zenfolio.
Do I maintain copyrights to my image? Yes. The artist retains full copyrights to the image, and only gives PAHW a non-exclusive license to sub-license the image. Click here to read more about our general policies.

We will email you a $25 Amazon gift card at the end of each calendar year that your images sell a total of at least 15 digital files and/or printed items. This means that if you have even one item that sells well, we will email you a $25 gift card every year. In addition, you will be entered into occasional raffles to receive items such as electronics and free prints.

Absolutely. Watermarks are applied to all images in our Global Gallery. Additionally, right-clicking on an image in the Global Gallery does not show the standard browser popup that allows downloading images. A product menu is displayed instead. Dragging images from the Global Gallery onto a computer desktop is also restricted.
