Clean Water Map

Posted: July 22, 2016

As many of us make an effort to hydrate on these hot summer days, we want to acknowledge the 663 million people who do not have the same access to clean drinking water that we are fortunate enough to have. Thatís nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide (or twice the U.S. population!) who still lack access to improved drinking water sources, with the majority living in sub-Saharan Africa and Southern Asia. Access to clean water and basic sanitation can save around 16,000 lives every week.

As a reminder, sales of photos on the PAHW website support UNICEF's work to bring clean water to communities around the world. More information here
