Today is World Water Day!
Posted: March 22, 2012International World Water Day is held annually on March 22 as a way of focusing attention on the importance of fresh water and advocating for the sustainable management of fresh water resources. Following the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), the United Nations General Assembly designated March 22, 1993 as the first World Water Day.
800 million people lack clean drinking water, and 4,000 children die every day as a result. It's time we take action! Check out WaterAid America's website with a list of things you can do to make a difference:
